Krystie P. Lennox PA-C has a passion for education, evident in both her accomplishments and initiatives in the field of aesthetic medicine. She is a practicing physician assistant, trainer and consultant with more than a decade of expertise spanning aesthetics, skin care, laser and related products and services.
Ms. Lennox is the founder and co-director of the Aesthetic Extender Symposium, a conference designed to educate aesthetic physician extenders in cosmetic dermatology procedures, as well as the latest laser technologies. Ms. Lennox is also an aesthetic practice consultant through Lennox & Associates, LLC, as well as a laser instructor and consultant for Sciton and trainer on Allergan and Galderma products. She is a frequent lecturer, having spoken at conferences by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), Galderma, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the International Master Course on Aging Skin (IMCAS), The South Beach Symposium and the Cosmetic Dermatology Seminar.
Ms. Lennox has authored numerous articles, published in leading medical journals, including Drugs in Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Journal of Dermatology for Physician Assistants, Plastic Surgery Pulse and Skin & Aging. In conjunction with plastic surgeon, Dr. Jason N. Pozner, and dermatologist, Dr. David J. Goldberg, she wrote a chapter on “Intense Pulsed Light” for Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services. She also served as a Cosmetic Dermatology Department writer for Advance for Physician Assistants news magazine for years. Throughout her career, she has also contributed to clinical research by assisting respected physicians to study the safety and efficacy of a wide array of treatments.
Recognizing the tremendous opportunities for providing information through digital media, in 2011, Ms. Lennox developed the “Wrinkle Relaxers” smartphone application. The innovative app educates clinicians and enables consumers to make informed decisions about Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin®, the three botulinum toxins currently available.
Among her many honors, she was recognized with the ASLMS Nursing/Allied Health Excellence Award by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery in 2010 for outstanding contributions and the advancement of joint practice in laser medicine and surgery.
Ms. Lennox currently works with a team of clinicians at Sanctuary Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Medical Sciences from Barry University and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
David J. Goldberg, MD, JD
Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New YorkUniversityMedicalCenter. He has served as President as well as Chairman of both the Ethics and International Committees of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Goldberg was the first ever recipient of the ASLMS Leon Goldman award named after the founder of laser medicine. He is past Chair of the Ethics Committee of both the AmericanAcademy of Dermatology and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He has also been a member of the board of directors of both ASDS and ISDS. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the AmericanAcademy of Dermatology and as Secretary to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Director of Laser Research of NY’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is also Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School He has published over 125 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is author of books on Laser Hair Removal; Ablative and Non-ablative Skin Rejuvenation; Photodamaged Skin, Complications in Cutaneous Laser Surgery, and most recently Dermal Fillers in Dermatology . Dr. Goldberg has performed pivotal research studies in the areas of laser hair removal, non-ablative skin treatments, dermal fillers and new botulinum toxins. He is on the editorial boards of the Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery. He is current Senior Chief-Editor of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy. Finally, Dr. Goldberg is an attorney having graduated from NY’s Fordham University School of Law where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law and teaches a course entitled “Advances in Health Care Law.”
