EDUCATION
His head and neck surgical residency was completed at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he further spent time at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center, mastering intricate head and neck surgical anatomy and reconstruction.
While in residency, he earned numerous research distinctions such as being awarded 1st place in resident research by both the Texas Medical Association and Byron Bailey Surgical Society.
His medical degree was obtained from University of Texas Medical Branch where he graduated magna cum laude (top 15% of graduates) and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society, an honor reserved for the most elite and accomplished medical graduates. During his time in medical school, he earned multiple merit-based scholarships throughout his 4 years of attendance. Prior to earning his medical degree, Dr. Rana received two undergraduate degrees in Biology and Business Administration at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He graduated from Austin College with Summa Cum Laude honors (top 5% of graduates) and was inducted in several discipline-specific honor societies such as Phi Beta Kappa.
Now, as a highly esteemed facial plastic surgeon in Frisco, TX, Dr. Rana doesn’t take the responsibility lightly. He believes in providing the most exceptional results at the highest standard to every patient.
MEMBERSHIPS AND ASSOCIATIONS
He completed an exclusive cosmetic facial plastic surgery fellowship under nationally-renowned aging face specialist, Dr. Louis DeJoseph, at Premier Image Cosmetic and Laser Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. There, he performed numerous complex cosmetic face and neck procedures while also mastering the art of creating all-natural results that are tailored to each individual patient.
While in Atlanta, he also served as Clinical Instructor at the Emory University Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, helping to train the next generation of residents and providing care to our nation’s veterans at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
His new certification is through the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).
